It's a scream, isn't it ?

I've known non-Elvis-fans who loved watching it !

As you say, it's hardly a typical Elvis role !

One of my favorites too, it also showed that Elvis could perfom a comedic role. 8)

I believe Ann Helm can be seen in a documentary called "The Hollywood years" (part of a DVD box set), where she talks about the movie.

Yeah, Follow that dream is a great movie, and one that I've seen over and over.
As I said in a post earlier, there's something special and enjoyable about every Elvis movie :)

There are people who have posted on this message board who say Elvis couldn't act. "Toby" is so unlike the real Elvis (as far as we can know) to prove that this was a remarkable performance, not to mention being a complete contrast to his role as Pacer, in Flaming Star, only about a year earlier.

Elvis could act and FTD and a few others proved that. But being a great actor is something else.

A favorite movie of mine. Would have given anything to be Elvis in the "Angel" finale where he kisses her. Omigod!! She was gorgeous.
