Great as always Funky. I agree he looks good in these shots.
A question. How many (approx) photo's do you have in your database?

Delboy, I literally have thousands! If you ever need a pic. feel free to ask, and if I have it, then you will too! I have been collecting strong now, for six solid years! I can thank Jim Dandy for that!

Are you able to reduce the source link image sizes - dems there are massive making it a little difficult to appreciate then!

Truely awesome!

You calling me a big girl's blouse ?

Good one, Colin. Elvis doesn't look too cool in those pictures, that's for sure!

If someone is good with Adobe, you could basically put that Frankie and Johnny head and PHS head in a Aloha jumpsuit (change hair and sideburns) and it would look to be about the same weight IMO.

And that says a lot about the way the longer hair, larger sideburns and jumpsuit skews perceptions of Elvis' weight. Elvis was a good 20 pounds lighter in Aloha - possibly more. I'm talking about a PHS comparison there - he wasn't as heavy in Frankie and Johnny. There are some dressing room pics in regular clothes that show just how thin he was that day. Perhaps funkyangel could post those backstage pics (I'm sure you have them) to illustrate the point. I would, but I can't find them

John, yes it isthe wrong way around, I noticed that and had to use the shirt buttons as the hair curl was slightly too blurry and he'd taken that darn brick off his finger.
It should be as below, but now folks will say the MGM lion is the wrong way around.

Don't worry: we'll visit!
In that "fat period" it's a fun (in a nutty sort of way)
to put or imagine fake '70s sideburns on Elvis. It works!
Presto! It's Elvis , 1972, wearing movie clothes.

Very good pics

I have a habit of putting my thumb over Elvis` sideburns, in the 1970`s photos, to see how young or better he would have looked without them.
I have always thought the big sideburns aged Elvis something rotten.

Don't we have a "Picture Section" for those unfortunates who lust after Elvis' image

LOL !!

I disagree but on some of the '69-70 shots, you could be looking
at the '50s Elvis when you do that! On a few shots on other years,(oddly
from 1975) it also works.
Yeah, Kiwi's right:
PICTURE SECTION!

You know a really time-warping shot?
That one from Tupelo in 56, daytime show, there's a popular full-length w/some of band shot where he is starting to face his left side (where the camera is coming from), and the shadow on the left side of his face almost makes him look like Elvis in 1970 if you cover everything else up...
Always love those kinds of shots.

I think I've seen that, too!
Some '50s shots of him on TV show him holding
the guitar in a similar way (of course) to the '70s shows.
I think THIS IS ELVIS shows ELvis doing
"Shake Rattle and Roll /Flip, Flop & Fly" where he has a touch of his
heavier '70s look facially. And his "stance" is very similiar.

Very nice pictures! I have never seen those before!

You're welcome JEFF d! The original cover of RCA's Frankie and Johnny Soundtrack LP had Elvis' Girl Happy head placed on his Frankie and Johnny body! Make sense? Those aresholes (just like those in this thread complaining about the pics I upload in the wrong forum!) in the art department (notably Tom Parker) covering up his weight, should of been shot, on sight! I would love to see an unedited cover photo!

Funky; I´ve said it before but I´ll say it again - fantastic pictures, man!
Wasn´t the Frankie And Johnny cover corrected on the FTD release?

FA, I liked them as well. But I have one request -- in the future can you scale such photos down from (approximate) 1000 X 1400 pixel size? I know that you don't usually post in such large dimensions.
