Is this a dvd-r or factory pressed disc?

Best film I've ever seen from a non-professional on Elvis. As good or better than the MSG dvd, Prince from another Planet

Just amazing on all levels. If we only had soundboard audio to mix into these clips..

Perhaps a movie a year and shorter tours would have allowed Elvis to maintain the interest and momentum of the 1969-1971 years.

Agree, but he had to quit Vegas for sure after the August 1970 engagement and the Colonel couldn't do that.

Thanks MikeFromHolland. Again...

This is both a joy and a pain to look at. He kicked as, he surely was interested in his own live concept.
But this is also a time where he is locked in long stints in LV. Parker designed the trap for Elvis to walk in, but Elvis was gullable and followed Parker. However hard i try, i can not understand it.

But i guess it is easy from the outside looking in.

He looks inspired and energetic. It would have been nice if he were able to maintain this level of energy and inspiration in subsequent years, but with his grueling touring schedule and uninspiring Vegas seasons, he was kinda set up to fail.

it was originally a factory pressed dvd but your more likely to find it in DVDR format nowadays but what's the difference the quality will be the same.

Great footage! Too bad Elvis wasn't this energetic during the Aloha show!

Whoever filmed this either had a very steady hand or the camera was mounted on a tripod.

It looks to me like he looks directly in to the camera on a few occasions, I suspect he knew he was being filmed.

The footage was originally released on the DVD "Behind The Image 2" by some German guys who restored the footage and did a great job. One person of this group told me some years ago that they planned to release one DVD for each year from 1970 to 1977 including interviews with elvis related persons and the footage. "Behind The Image 1" was mainly with footage from 1970, volume 2 with 1971 inkluding the footage from Dallas and Houston. There even was a trailer for volume 3. The guy also told me, I think it was around 2010, that every volume until 1977 was already finished with interviews and absolutely stunning restored footage from each year comparable to the quality of Dallas und Houston. BUT he said they would not release any more volume in the future because the first both dvd were shared illegally in the internet. They eventually wanted to earn some money with this because the the footage, the interviews and the work cost lots of money. It's a shame not because of the interviews but mostly of the restored footage.

Thanks a lot for the offer houndog. I do have all the footage from the original Behind the Image/Adrenaline and other official releases but was curious about a release that I had not heard about from my 'import' dealers.

Elvis had signed a 5 year deal to play Vegas. No way he could quit Vegas in 1970. Elvis could just not say no to long term contracts. lol
