Elvis in uniform 1958 or 1960?

I came across this photo recently but unsure about the date of it. Looks like Col Tom behind him.

Almost looks as if it could be the day he was discharged from the army. So my guess is 1960. It is hard to tell.

IIRC, this is Elvis in front of the Hotel Prince de Galles (Prince Of Wales), Champs-Élysées, Paris, in January 1960.

Elvis went to Paris three times:

June 13-27 1959
July 3-5 1959
January 12-18 1960

It's definitely not manager Tom Parker behind him. Parker never left the U.S. borders during Presley's army hitch.

Thanks to you both for your information. Appearance-wise...He doesn't look very different between 1958-60 especially wearing his uniforms.

Thanks for the location and date info!

The dress uniform is different from the ones on my topic, that's why I wasn't 100% sure if he was at the hotel.

One thing I have noticed that is different is he was very thin as 1960 began, thinner than for most of 1959. You can see it in his face. Check out photos from January to March.

Also note no sergeant stripes on his uniform on any of these photos. His ranking would change two days later, on January 20th.

As reported it is indeed from Jan 18 1960 at Gare L'est (East Station) in Paris. From Gare Est all trains to east direction depart.

To be more precisely, Evis used the side entrance after being dropped off at Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Martin, just after 10 pm.
I know this because he left a map of paris (from Casino Paris) in the car which I was lucky to get in 1985 from the cab driver.
He was supposed to pick Elvis up at 9:15, but they did not leave the hotel before 9.45 The ride is normally 15-20 minutes, so
he had do drive fast to dropp them off at 10.00 in time (train was leaving at 10:05 pm). They boarded the train just minutes after.

Yes, the guy in the backgroud looks a bit like Parker (coat and hat that he wore in 1958), but this guy was much younger

Doesn't matter what he wore or how old he was, it could not possibly be Tom Parker. The man never left the U.S. while Elvis was overseas.
