I've just learned that rockabilly hero Mac Curtis died today. He was 74.
The recordings he made for King Records in 1956 and 1957 have been revered for decades by rockabilly collectors worldwide.
His first session for King, done April 1st. 1956 in Dallas, backed by the legendary Galbraith Brothers, Jimmy (gtr) and Kenny (bs), is among the coolest in the history of rockabilly. http://rivet-head.blogspot.com.es/2013/ ... urtis.html
