Great piece of history!! Incredibly, the one woman who should have appeared here does not. I've looked and she's nowhere to be found, inspite of the fact that there are two known photos of her and Elvis where sh'e next to, then being hugged by Elvis, both of taken on the exact same say. According to her son, she is Elizabeth (Libby) Ten Eyck, then about 23, married and with three children who by chance shared a ride to Hawaii aboard the "Matsonia" and with whom Elvis had a sort of a fling. They also saw each other before the concert, at the lobby of the hotel thyey were staying. Her father in law was William Ewing Waste, Exec. VP of "Bechtel" a corporation formed to take advantage of contracts from the U. S. Maritime Commission. Litte did she know, as she spent some time with Elvis that her father in law would die exactly 2 months after Elvis, on October 16, 1977.
