There's just one thing that you must do.
Distance swimmer Diana Nyad has been attempting an uncaged swim from Cuba to Florida since she was 28 years old. (The water is shark-infested.) As best I can count, she failed once, twice, three and then again, four times. Over decades, she just kept failing. And aging.
Unbelievably, at 64, she tried it again. There was no chance. I saw a documentary on her last failure.Crazy lady.
She did it! She made it.
You know, I was once surprised by an unexpected award, and forced to give an impromptu speech. I felt like such an idiot when all I could think of was "never give up on your dreams." And recently, I not only felt silly about the cliché, but I started to think I was just plain wrong.
I said the right thing. And I am very inspired. Amazing! She did it!
Never give up on your dreams.
