Media player updating all the time...Please HELP!

Hi....I hope someone can help me......because this is getting really annoying......getting on my nerves.....lol
About a month ago I got Windows 7 and with it came windows media player. I got all my music loaded and it went just fine, but ever since it continues to just updating and updating all the time..........don`t know what it`s updating.....really theres nothing to update
(Unless I load another cd ofcause)
Every morning when I start up the PC and open the media player.......IT`S EMPTY ......and then it`s starts reloading all my music all over again
.......and after that.....updating and updating my library for no obvious reason.
I`ve tried to fix it by different settings options and searched the net for answers, but had no luck so far
On my XP I think my media player was edition 11 and it always worked just perfect..........can someone help me to get this work just as perfect? (I truly hope so......Please Help if you can

Cannot really help you but...
- did you try to re-load and install Windows Media Player 12 ? Cannot give you a link for this because I get directed to a Dutch languaged site.
- perhaps it helps if you download and install the codecs from http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-C ... 49065.html
- another site with codecs http://www.filehippo.com/download_windows_7_codecs/ with an interesting read! (this one if the best of the 2)
Or download another media player..... from the filehippo site.

This was a past issue with WMP 12 thats been corrected with an update from Microsoft .
Go to "Microsoft Update" and update the Media Player, there is fix for this in "Additional Updates" section.
Depending on how recent your Windows 7 install is, it will be part of the "Service Pack" updates.

Thank you guys.........Really appreciate your replies.....ty very much. I`ve tried the update promisedland, but it says that I already have the latest edition......
From another source I now got the advise to unclick all the options in library and actually it seems to work.......hope it will stay that way....cross my fingers.
