There´s nothing about Elvis´ and Kitty´s love in this article. Surely, a PR article and not written by Kitty. But whoever wrote it was obviously talking to the fans. This is from Elvis´ last days in Texas. It might not be entirely accurate, but I do love this part from the article (and I hope it´s true):

"Are you going to sell Graceland?" one fan asked.
"That´s mother´s. We´ll keep it."

Such a pleasure, these are! Thank you for your latest gift.

I disagree that someone else wrote the piece -- it reads to me like a pleasant first-person account by Kitty.

Kitty is careful to focus on the love of the fans visiting him in Kileen in September 1958 -- thus the title "I Shared Elvis' Love."

How I wish Kitty had mentioned the names of some of the songs Elvis sang at the jam session she mentions.

And her detail about the great number of people at Elvis' home matches what many remember -- it was chaotic, and Elvis was seemingly insulating himself from the pain of the loss of his mom with as many guests as possible.
