Does this open the door for the possibility for Bruce to receive the Queen's jubilee medal ?

It's a nice gesture, but whichever staffer wrote it doesn't have a very good grasp of English grammar.

I also found the reference to We Take Care of Our Own somewhat ironic. The lyrics question the Obama administration's commitment to "get" the American people's "back". It reminded me of another President and his misinterpretation of another Springsteen song.

It's doubtful more than a few found any such connection with the generous, inclusive nature of President Obama's letter, and a pandering, naive attempt to win some Generation X votes during a 1984 campaign speech.
