I am, thanks for posting.
Love a lot of his early sixties Nashville recordings.
Umm, well... this is not one of the ones I like... :facep:

Why not ? My friend, don't you find the lyrics of "Road Hog" very much a LOL.

It actually is sad but true. Turns out I never cared for the lyrics, that's why I probably didn't like the song.

There are lots of others I'd rather dig, namely:

- Sittin' In The Balcony
- They Were Right
- Yearbook
- This Cold War With You
- Blue Train
- Language Of Love
- Jimmie's Song
- What Would You Take For Me?
- The Great Snowman
- Everybody Knows
- Song Of The Lonely Teen
- The Rocks Of Reno
- You Just Reap What You Sow
- The Little Wind-Up Doll
- Two Strangers In Love
- Th' Wife
- Bad News
- Oh How Sad
- It's My Time
- No Playing In The Snow Today
- The Little Grave
- Ma Baker's Little Acre
- Mary's No Longer Mine
- To Hell With Love
- The Lament Of The Cherokee Reservation Indian
- You're The Guilty One
- Where Have They Gone
- The Little Bird
- Brown Girl
- That Ain't All

And, of course "Tobacco Road"! :D

Great songwriter! And his recordings (the few ones I know from an old LP my father had) are not bad either. I love "To hell with love" very much.

You say I should lie
Looking you straight in the eye
That what you don't know ain't a-gonna hurt you none
Well if it's square being honest with you
That's the kind of love you're speaking of
Then to hell with love

You say steal
Regardless of the way I feel
Just a little extra lovin' on the side'll do me good
Well if it's wrong being honest with you
What you speak of you're calling love
Then to hell with love

You say cheat
That'll make love complete
So this is what this old world has finally slipped down to
Cause if it's wrong being honest with you
Your love's not for me
I hate to be speaking grossly
So pardon me
But to hell with love
