Elvis --> at G.I. Blues screening with Dick Lightman !

When Elvis Presley wanted to watch movies without being mobbed by the public, he often retired to Dick Lightman's private screening room. Here, the pair pose for a picture.

This shot was apparently taken at the Monday, September 12, 1960 special theater screening of "G.I. Blues" in Los Angeles. The Memphis newspaper must have sent Lightman and a photographer out to Hollywood for the event.

No, the hair and outfit appear to be different.

It appears to be circa 1960-61, but when? It's not from the events of 2-25-1961, his hair is longer.

To me it looks like the exact same clothes, both jacket with pin and tie with pin that he wore on October 12, 1960 but with Dick Lightman being from Memphis I guess the photo would also be from Memphis so not from this date.

Wow!!! Those are great shots. Why can't I look that good in a suit? It's gotta be the hair...



As far as the timeline goes, you guys are the experts but I think his weight says more than the hair. My guess would be this was after GI Blues. I would say this is more of his Kid Galahad look.
