Just been to see the doctor after having some stomache ache for a few days and was sent to the hospital for some xrays.the xray showed a tumor in my bladder the size of a golf ball,i have been sent home with some special body soap and have been booked in for an operation to remove it on wednesday morning(9th Jan)they have told me not to worry ,but its knocked me sideways a little bit.Has anyone here had a similar problem?apparently its a straight forward operation and i will only be hospitalised a couple of days, but im not very enthusiastic about the thought of an operation or the general anasthetic
Anyone had anything similar?
Ken

Hope all goes well for you Ken.
I know it's not the same, but I had a hernia removed last year but am back in the gym lifting weights almost as heavy as before.
Best wishes
Rick

Sorry to hear your news, Ken.
I've not had anything similar, but I can tell you, after being recently hospitalized, NOT to worry about the prospect of having an operation and general anaesthetic.
You will be taken very good care of, and I am sure it will all go smoothly.
Stay strong; and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say you're in my thoughts.
Take care, my friend.

Sorry to hear about your medical condition. Are you a smoker?
I don't have any similar condition but I was operated many years ago when I was stabbed in my stomach. I was also operated on Jan. 9.
Wishing you the best. Take care! You'll be up and about in no time!

Ken, as far as the general anasthetic goes don't worry. Over the past 12 years I've had 6 procedures that required me to be put under and I assure you it's a piece of cake. You simply go to sleep and the next thing you know they're rousing you back awake. When you're under you don't feel anything, you don't dream, you don't have visions. So don't worry about the anasthesia.
Best of luck Ken, but you really don't need it. You'll be fine.
