Buddy Holly 1958 Australian interview

Sat Jan 05, 2013 1:51 pm

Not sure if this has been posted here before but it's more longer than the one that appeared on a bootleg some 30 years ago The Interviewer was Mr Pat Barton who was a legendary radio disc jockey

Presenter on radio 2KO Newcastle Australia.

Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it. The original of this was on a bootleg LP called THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED ( a bizzare mix of interviews, News items of the plane crash and some obscure post death tribute songs) and the aussie radio interview on th LP was about 60 seconds long (it finished were Buddy says "I used to know Elvis quite well"). So this You Tube upload was quite a revelation.

Wow that was interesting to hear, thanks for posting !

Interesting to hear they didn't think anybody could step into Elvis' shoes ! a bit like what Bo Didley said qbout Michael Jackson and Prince not being able to step into Elvis' shoes ! :-)
