January 16, 1971. Outside the Holiday Inn-Rivermount, Memphis, TN.

there was footage shown on the man and the music i was thinking if might of been from Elvis On Tour

what was the importance of this footage where was the king going ? or is it just random 8mm footage

It was for the Jaycees.

The above is from the morning of Saturday, January 16, 1971 , as Elvis leaves the Memphis Holiday Inn where they had the Jaycees prayer breakfast. Looks like a screen grab, not sure which film it was taken from.

The first time I saw this footage was on The Great Performances videos, and later, DVD's. Can't remember which volume it was on, but one of the original 2 volumes, The Man And The Music, or Centre Stage.

It's on Center Stage.

Small correction, but it's actually Rivermont, not Rivermount.
