Elvis photographed with other famous people

Thanks for posting, karlos. The one of Muhammad ALi I only have in black and white.

The original negative may or may not be in color, but the one posted by karlos is colourized.

Then it's a very good colourisation in that case. You may be correct about the original negative, I have never seen this photo in colour before.

I offered all the Bennett information primarily because he just recently died, and also because when he met Elvis backstage in 1969, he did so as an employee of the Beatles! And since Elvis had just performed two Beatles songs at the show Pete saw, that makes for a very interesting piece of knowledge, as Presley was a big fan of their music.

Seems 'Ringo' Bonavena was a popular boxer in the 70's he lost to Mohammad Ali in 1970 and Ali went on to regain his heavy-weight title the following year. Bonavena was murdered in May 1976

Jimmy Durante was playing in town with singer Sonny King at the time of the photo, they had been partnered up since the 1950s. Jack E. Leonard was also in town as a support comedian for another act on the strip.

Sadly, the 79 year-old Durante was booked into a Santa Monica hospital in late September for exhaustion, and suffered a massive stroke in November. He had to semi-retire and use a wheelchair to get around.

The photo with Cher is clearly a fake - she wasn't a visitor on the July 75 tour, which is when the photo of Elvis is taken, although he did have Linda / Diana Goodman on the tour at various points.
