What do you like MOST about this Elvis forum ?

1) The fellowship.

2) That people here take Elvis, music, and culture seriously. Nothing is "trivial" because you never know where each element might lead. People here care deeply about these matters. If there is disagreement, it's because it matters.

I didn't vote because I can't just choose one reason for this. What I can tell you is that the first thing I thought when I originally came on board and looked around was that a good portion of the people here were articulate and well-versed in their Elvis knowledge while at the same time having a pretty deep understanding and appreciation of rock and roll in general and Elvis' connection to it and it's sub-genres.

The people here go beyond casual Elvis fans. Not that there's anything wrong with 'casual'. But I would rather talk to Elvis fans that are informed and dig deeper than just the nostalgia and 'Hound Dog'/'Jailhouse Rock' stuff.

There are heated debates here, but the most seem to do their homework and present some good arguments.

Alot of people out there are very dismissive of Elvis which is no surprise since he's been endlessly lampooned for almost his entire career, especially in the later years. It's good to know there are other people on the planet that know what the real deal is and look beyond the nonsense and understand what's important.
