The tag function is now implemented.
To tag a member, and have them notified, simply surround their username with the tag code by typing their username and pressing the "tag" button like so:
- Code:
[tag]someuser[/tag]
By default, when you are tagged you will be notified by private message.
To be notified by email, or to turn off notifications for this feature, go to:
User Control Panel ---->Board Preferences ----> Edit Posting Defaults
Then select your preferred option in the "Tags Notification Method" Dropdown box

One request could be considered, at some point, since it would make awkward situations more comfortable. If, say, I goof, and remember the wrong quote from the wrong book, it would be nice to correct it with an "Uh oh, My Bad" type smiley. Without having to go into detail.

Good idea!
Have any in particular (from a google image search/etc) in mind?

Once again, I'd like to see something on the boards where it would be possible for us to make a hyper-link much easier. For example, if I were to post a link to an article about the recent shootings in Conneticut, it would be nice to be able to write out the actual newspaper's headline on here and have the hyper-link embedded in the headline. Make sense? Here's JUST an example:
"Connetticut Still Mourning Loss Of Children & Teachers" (link embedded in the headline)
The actual "link" should be embedded inside those words and people would just click on them.
Another example: "ELVIS FOUND ALIVE!" (link embedded in the headline)
It's not that I'm too lazy to write out the URL and put the link in that way, it just seems easier to be able to write out the words and embed the link into those words or headlines.
God, I hope that made sense because it almost confused me......
Anyway, I hope you get an idea of what I'm referring to.....
is that the same thing as I suggested on page one?:Elvisgirl wrote:when you want to make a link look like this: example, would it be possible to add some buttons that you can press on, instead of having to type the url part?

Here's some: http://www.sherv.net/sorry-emoticons.html
There must be more, to express a wider array of feelings along these lines.

I have enabled the feature to display the first 50 characters of the thread. Doesn't seem as intrusive.
Thoughts??

Been messing with it, and it seems 55 characters is the max for a single line.

Thanks for the input! I agree that the star-ratings of the topics looked a little bit too messy. That feature will go back to the drawing board for now.
If you, or anyone else has any cosmetic or feature requests --- please feel free to post them here in this topic!
