You miss the point. Aesthetically, without Johnny Rotten they cannot be the Sex Pistols.

In fact, as of that 12-20-1979 "Top of the Pops" clip, the Professionals was the band name they usually played under.

Your video, by the by, was for a side project between Lynott and Jones and Cook called "The Greedy Bastards." For TV, they shortened it to "The Greedies." A single release of "A Merry Jingle" was the only fruit of their labor.
