E in concert 76

The '77 version of 'Where No One Stands Alone' is an unfair comparison to the studio version. During the studio version, he could stop, start over and record the song multiple times. He was also in much better shape then. He was on stage during the '77 performance, tired at the end of a show, sweating profusely (one would imagine) and out of breath. We should never compare the two versions.

That said, the '77 version was a rarity (though appreciated). We must not confuse a rarity with a good version. The two are sometimes the same, but not always.

Karlos, I think your last photo is from 1975. As a rule, photos from 1976 are easily identifiable because Elvis always wore a hat then.
