Why just "maybe"?
drjohncarpenter wrote:As noted, Darlene Love and the Blossoms never opened a show for, or played live with, Elvis.
They may be seen and heard on the NBC-TV Special (songs taped June 1968), heard on "Swing Down Sweet Chariot" (1968 alternate master), "Clean Up Your Own Backyard" (1968 master - maybe), and "Let Us Pray" (1969 master), and seen in the film "Change of Habit" miming backing vocals to "Rubberneckin'."

Let not parse my quotes, as the meaning is lost.

In my statement, "maybe" is referencing the question as to whether it is their voices on the 1968 master.

Then don't waste my time asking a question you already know the answer to.

Done.
I didn't change who sang "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child" because you haven't shown me any proof otherwise.

I guess you need someone to write and tell you what Darlene Love's voice sounds like.
Besides the fact -- already stated and proven from those "Shindig!" clips I posted years ago -- that Darlene Love was always the leader of the Blossoms, those who know better can recognize her voice.
Hope this helps!

Someone watched the Shindig version - or Darlene had some input. No way to know without the full session outtakes, notes, etc. as to this particular song. Be nice to see what the choreographers wrote out. They may have mentioned Shindig.

I already understand your meaning for writing "maybe". Nothing was lost on my part.
Now... back to The Blossoms - Who else would've overdubbed their voices in December of 1968 on "Clean Up Your Own Back Yard"?
It's them.

She'll be on December 20th this year.
Thanks! It's IN the Calendar! (Which means it's sync'ed to my phablet, as well - will never forget.)
Happy Holidays!

When and where did Darlene Love make this statement? I am not familiar with this. Please let us know.

You'll need to change the calendar entry. Seems it will be filmed on the 20th but not air until the 21st.
