Here´s how I spent my saturday evening, I transferred a cassette to cd-r.
Elvis Presley live at Cincinnati Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio on Thursday November 11, 1971 at 8:30 PM. 13 272 people attended this performance in which Elvis was dressed in a black jumpsuit with a green cape. Information from Stein Erik Skar and his excellent and unsurpassed book Elvis The Concert Years 1969-1977, published by Flaming Star in 1992.
I dug through my mediocre collection of cassettes and found this tape I got for free from the late great Bob Heis. I had asked him if he made any recordings during the many concerts and this is the only one.
I bought many photo-sets featuring Elvis in concert from him some 20 years ago. Bob Heis sure was a great man and he did so much for us fans, he left behind an invaluable legacy of stills and films.
This here show has become a favourite of mine, at least post-1970. Please enjoy this concert friends, the sound is rough but the excitement is great. Excellent show and excellent song line-up but bad sound. I`ll put it on youtube for everyone who hasn´t heard it before, coming tomorrrow. Is it out on a CD?
I believe this was the tour when JD Sumner and The Stamps joined Elvis.
