As a fellow Venus fan I have to say that they may be a bunch of way-too-easy-to-offend people then if that was true, because the majority of comments around here about them is pretty much positive.

Yes, why be sensitive if 49 of 100 comments are negative?

If they are making money, they will release more product. They're not stupid, nor are they little old ladies whose feelings getting hurt is likely to prevent them from making some readies.

Nevertheless, I don't think (or at least I hope not) they're a bunch of insecure kids who stop releasing material because of a few bad comments. C'mon, surely one would expect better from the guys behind such releases as the Welcome To The Jungle and Unedited Masters series. I know this place does have its share of people who can only think about their own opinion and those who agree, but I seriously hope this is not the case for the guys behind the label. It would be a shame.

Isn't it an unusual irony that Carp is all about being careful and sensitive 'lest someone offend the people associated with Venus, but yet he himself has hurt and offended and driven away more decent folks from this board than anyone can count. Seems a tad hypocritical.

Venus label, produce a professional product for the collectors out there, that there is no doubt on, the material they manage to obtain does not come cheap or easily, otherwise there would be more than just the Venus label, producing such items.
Without Venus/Madison/DAE/Bilko/Bater/Internatinale AKA Boxcar/Rock Legend to name just a few of the bootleg heroes out there that have time and time again filled our collections with unreleased material, I cant understand the slagging off of such labels.

If it were Gravel Road AKA Graceland and others/MxF/Straight Arrow/Conair and all these crap audience recording and any other label that just steels from the above cream of the crop should be boycotted along with the Audience recording mob.
These type labels deserve to be ridiculed and such.

But the likes of Venus should be praised, if you are a collector which I think for the most part they are, does hold Venus in high regard, and some of the comments I am sure come from the FREE download brigade which helps no one including the official releases. These people expect everything for FREE; well let’s see something from these FREELOADERS for once worth a 5th of anything that has been released from Venus and the others.

Material is running out for us it’s a fact we can’t ignore, but I am also sure there are still gems in store for us all to enjoy/or in some cases slag off.
