Introducing the fifth release on a label by the name of MILLBRANCH MUSIC here is another complete performance by Elvis Presley in the year of 1976. This time we chose to release a complete recording of Elvis´ performance from May 6, 1976. This very long show (more than 90 minutes) would not fit on one cd so this release simply has to be a 2 CD set.
Out by December 7, 2012 this will be factory pressed, limited to only 300 copies with an 8 page booklet containing lots of photos and information regarding Elvis´ last concert series in Lake Tahoe. The sound is very good for an audience recording and Elvis is delivering a decent show with some rare songs, being in good spirits. This concert has NOT been released yet on factory pressed cd. All you fans out there know what to expect from Elvis´ 76 Lake Tahoe performances - so if you are interested be advised to get your copy as soon as you can.

One wonders just how much "Aloha" director Marty Pasetta was shocked at the change in Elvis from only three years prior.

My first thought, too.

What we hear are some songs done well, some indifferently and some very poorly. It's 1976 -- fun times!

Some fans rave over the December 1976 shows which i personally consider overrated. These Tahoe Shows will probably have there issues as well - it is 1976! - but look at the track listing and length of for example the May 6, 1976 shows. I must admit I stopped listening to audience recordings a long, long time ago, so I never heard this show, but this is one 1976 I would welcome on soundboard:

well the sound has improved, elvis voice is clearer then on the old cd-r but its not a huge diffrence to what we had

after hearing that 'crying in the chapel' sample i'll stick with what i already have thanks!~

Granted, there are better sounding ARs (and worse).....but..the show is worth being released on silver disc...

Got this new release now. But i´m very disappointed about the sound. Man this is bad, i can´t unterstand a word when Elvis talks....

Elvis obviously wanted to please, especially because the producer/director of his famous "Aloha" show was in the audience. I bought this double-disc because of the interesting set list, but it's not a pleasure to listen to such a bad recording.

thats why i'm fussy about what i buy....... one person on this board told me recently instead of simply 'automatically' getting every single bootleg CD Released he will also have to be more choosy because of so much below acceptable listening stuff that gets released!~

Regarding this last Tahoe engagement: Elvis gave a very long closing show in May 9 1976 (some said it was the longest of his carrer). Exists a recording of this? Do you think he is in better voice there than in May 6 (this release)?
