The "toes" picture set my hair on end! (Almost "on fire"

) Just astonishing. I can't even tell ya!
Well, my new Phablet has WALLPAPER! There should be a copyright notice on it 'cause that could easily go viral. It contains multitudes!
Thank you!!!

Oh, to know which song it was.
Hound Dog would be a good bet.
Or maybe it was a song about a girl. Who danced, on the floor, in the round.
Just sayin'!

Sometimes people wonder if there will be more great finds on new music or things like these pix on Elvis or if the wells are drying. I think there will always be, it may be in a salt mine, a forgotten vault or an old bible. Great!
I tweaked one pic a bit in Photoshop.
Such cool photo looks even better now cheers

Now if only someone had the guts to record it too. We were born too late.

Yes, indeed. And at the wrong continent too. Me at least (Europe).

Likewise. It immediately stands out as visually different, the the angle, seeing the soles of the shoes! The others, nice as they are, are very similar to your average, presumably fan taken, 50's live photo.

Another great find would be audio and video of the '57 show in Hawaii. All reluctant collectors who have this material should step forward..now.

Great photos, not seen by me before. Shame the photo paper reveals that they are not original 1950's photos. The photo paper indicates that they were produced in the 70's or 80's. Still nice rare photos, but not as good as if they were the originals printed in 1957 or 1958. Still, could be that they were never printed in 50's and developed years later I guess.

Well, I wouldn't say lucky; he paid $1036 for the priviledge!
That is a huge price for 1950's photos reprinted in either the 1970's or 1980's!

I disagree.
Frankly, what are the odds the original 1957 negatives still exist? Whether they were printed up in the 1970s or 1980s -- 20 or 30 years ago -- is of no significance if they are the only copies.
And they well may be.

Far less likely that they are the only copies of the originals if they are printed on 70's paper Dr. I was bidding on these until a good friend and major UK collector pointed out the paper thing. Knowing you have something unique from the 50's is one thing (and paying handsomely for it) but not knowing if you simply have copies of which multiple copies exist is too much of a risk.
No denying they are stunning pics tho and as long as the buyer is happy then that's all that counts.

Monday, November 11, 1957 Schofield Boxing Bowl (aka Post Bowl), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii Note that the last two shots are not of the Presley show, but the crowd and one of the opening acts.
The close-up lounge seating, stage right, seen in the last image must have been reserved for members of the local fan club. ALL of the Presley candids were taken from one of these seats.
The opening act seen in the last photo is part of the Sterling Mossman show, from Queen's Surf Waikiki nightclub.
Amazing pics!! Fell out of a bible....what's next?!!!

Thank you, Doc, for these fantastic pictures. Elvis at his best rock'n'roll music ever! I wonder if he sang Jailhouse Rock that day.

Elvis definitely did. It was his new single!
A local review mentioned the song as bringing down the house, and it was played in San Francisco just days before.
