Anyone Noticed the Improved Forum?!?!

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the functionality of this forum has changed. For the BETTER! Now, there is a "mobile view." And that's a big thing. I've also seen a "print view," and that really helps when I'm on my Kindle Paperwhite. It's better than the device's "article mode."

I would guess the credit goes to "FECC Mechanic" whose name, I believe, is Jordan!

Well, that's my guess. I'm not one of the old guard here, so correct me if I got anything wrong there. But I believe he's the same very kind fella who really helped me out on the elvicities twitter account when the server was updated!

So, whoever did it, THANK YOU!!!

(I've been in three stores, shopping for the Note II, getting everything as good as I can get it . . . and this comes in just in time! )

you can use a phone for so many other things these days, ya know
it has plenty to do with this forum for people who go on here on their phone
i'm not on here on my phone very often. only sometimes when i'm in bed and can't sleep, but even then it's a big help that i can use the moblie style

Print View has been in place for years, but the Mobile View is new, and all credit likely goes to Jordan.

I hadn't noticed the improved layout for the phone, specifically the Android OS. I had been using an app called Tapatalk, which had worked fairly well. It does the basics. Now that I have seen what the site looks like on my phone, I'll give it a shot. Thank you!

Seriously, if you ever decide to upgrade a bit, what everybody is doing with old phones is giving them to guys and gals in the service, in combat. They need the phones. It's a really good cause. I will look for a link. I am giving my old communicator, uh, flip phone, to a soldier. (Gotta fight those Cardassians! \\// )

My dad has given some of his older phones, when they had to upgrade, and I'm giving mine. I also gave my old Microtac, and that sort of thing. (There's only one phone we're keeping. I haven't even transferred the photos. That's different, and I can understand those who wish to keep such phones.)

And what you're writing. For think-pieces I go into "Extensive Notes" and copy and paste back and forth.

Otherwise the new mode is very handy!

i don't know anything about that, i just know it works for me
