Prince from another Planet to hit the charts next week!

I can tell you, right off the bat, that Robert Plant, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen would do it for free, as would Alvin Lee, super fans of Elvis to this day. Jimmy Page, Paul Simon, David Bowie I don't know, even less Garfunkel, who charges a great deal of money, even for birthday-related one night presentations, mostly of the truly rich and not so famous (LOL).

As to Weintraub, who knows, his ego is so large that perhaps he would also do it for free, as his account of how he got Parker to agree for Elvis to play New York has been told in his autobiography, and retold by the press countless times. And he was there, even photographed as he helped others fix the stage!! That leaves Paul Stanley of KISS, the then cab driver. I bet he would do it for free as well, but for obvious reasons having to do with his current status, not unless he knew in advance all the others would be in for the ride (LOL).

Come to think of it, Eric Maskin, the then Harvard graduate student who attended one of those concerts (and who 35 years later , in 2007, mentioned Elvis in his written speech at the Royal Academy in Stockholm, as he accepted the Nobel Price for Economics, and to top it all, in front of the King of Sweden, whose sister, who was there that night also, had met Elvis, as a then Princess, in 1960, ), would also do it for free. You can see how she smiles, when Elvis is mentioned. Priceless.

Has it been confirmed that Bruce was at one of the shows? we might have to do some research like when finally confirmed that Zeppelin were there.

I agree. Aloha is a very subdued affair, whereas the latest mix of MSG find it in a middle ground between those live shows where we barely here the audience and the excitement of the arena-feel of the Memphis show. It finally does sound like a live show, whereas as you say Aloha never does.

At least if the rehearsal show is remixed for CD, it might sound better than the last time AND it might be complete this time!

There's a reason for that as the audience was asked to be on their best behavior since it was going out live worldwide. They didn't want another episode of a riot like what had happened in November 1972 in Hawaii following Elvis' first show there.

I think there's a good chance we'll get a deluxe Aloha set next with both shows newly mixed. Probably in late 2013.

I have heard sonewhere or other, that Velvet Underground co-founder John Cale was there for a show too. It would be fascinating to get a definitive & accurate list, impossible I guess.

EPE and Sony Music should put something up on their websites to find people who attended one or more of the four MSG shows. Maybe they could get a seating chart from the owners of MSG and fill in the seating for each of the four shows, kind of like a combination of their mosaics they've been doing recently and their list of celebrities who've visited Graceland. They could even reach out to various celebrities and regular fans for ticket stubs as proof that they saw Elvis at MSG.

Peter is right, careful with the discs, tight as hell & very difficult to extract without scratching. I'll be keeping my discs in my MSG & Afternoon jewel cases.

That's what I do too. It's the only complaint I have about this release but it is annoying because you really can't keep the disc in the original package, not only the discs scratch but the cover also wrinkles. Due to only this I suppose I won't play the DVD that often.

Off course but with a large collection, storage is also an issue on its own. Basically wirth this set you have toot store the package and find roon for another three jewel cases as well. That's weird isn't it? It looks like a trend to make packages that look beautiful but lack in their primary objective which is disc storage.

I had one of those single-size but double CD cases knocking around, so I put both the DVD & AS in the Afternoon in the Garden case, and the ES disc in my old 90s RCA CD case. I'm giving the two old discs to my young nephew, he's a budding Presley fan.

All Wal Mart had were huge displays for One Direction and Toby Keith cd's.

Taylor Swift had one section all to herself !!!
