Awesome clip appears to be amateur 16mm, as opposed to the Super 8mm we are used to seeing. I would almost bet there is much more than what treat we got to see here.

Thanks for posting! Never would have found it myself. Agreed; it's in excellent quality. The audio is very good along with the video, I think, for an audience recording.

I like the way he puts is hand over his solar plexus when he sings "this emptiness inside me."

That song should have been a hit single; at least he treated it as though it had been.

He looks great in some of those June 1973 pics. Sure he looks a bit fuller than normal, but he doesn't look unhealthy and it's amazing what a tan can do. One is immediately reminded of his appearance at MSG, but just with a few more pounds.

I've always been sceptical about the 1973 tours. We don't have any soundboards from them, but there have been many fan stories over the years about how great some of these concerts are. I've always found it hard to believe, based on his vocal performances in the Vegas and Tahoe concerts FTD have issued, and the dreadful Stax sessions in July.

It would be nice one day to have a good sounding summre 1973 tour concert issued by FTD.

"The last nine months with Elvis [1973], we had three ODs; it was unbelievable." ... Vernon Presley, who from other accounts had kept his distance from his son's drug problems, witnessed some of these overdoses, Caughley said, including a near-fatal one in St. Louis.

This is why: you can clearly see at the beginning of the clip Charlie wearing an outfit with metal rings on the chest, sleeves and pants. I don't have a good photo of Charlie from St. Louis, but here is what James's outfit looked like in St. Louis - it would be similar to Charlie's.

In Atlanta the band wore black, but with NO metal rings. This time there were just studs on the outfit.
