With today finally being Election Day here in the United States, how about all of us putting our differences aside (for now)
just like Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have done.

Can we all please agree on that until the winner is officially announced?

I appreciate the sentiment Blue River but all I can say is... I'll try. I just remember the nasty horrible hateful comments made four years ago and the not so nice part of me is itching to return the favour.

Besides, the Doc said he wanted to join me in a toast to the winner.

But a request for civility and manners is always a good thing, so...I'll try.

I had a great day.......The Melbourne Cup was run today and I backed the winner.......purely by absolute chance....no checking the guide or the track or anything smart like the punters do. I have ended up with about $100...yahoo.....

I have my bets on Mitt Romney, so I hope that things go well?!

Exciting? I'm so nervous, I feel like hiding inder the bed!

But yeah, at least the TIDE rolls on!

Can't say I'll vote the same party I voted in 2008. Unfortunately, my gut tells me regardless of who "wins," the Washington gridlock and bickering will render the outcome practically moot, anyway. Hope that's not the case.

Having said that, I love election day. I will certainly exercise my right to vote, then stay glued to the television to watch the returns and analysis all day long.
