Are the movie recordings not a part of The Complete Masters?

Have the Double Feature Series, as well as the Time Life Series plus all that have been listed so far.
Thanks.

There are a lot of imports en official releases which are importened for different reasons.
But why don't you investigate that for yourself. All you need is the Keith Flynn site and the Elvis on CD site. For Flynn you can check every studio session and every live recording (multitrack and soundboard). Rehearsals and other stuff. Check it out behind every single track recorded you can find its origan. On Elvis on CD you can check every RCA/BMG/FTD/Import on its content.
I can say that you need the Fort Baxters/ 2001/ Bilko's beside There's always me. Some of them are rereleased on newer labels. So take your time and enjoy those sides for their content.
Then you can deside for yourself what you need or not.

Good lucks

Even, like I do, if you own about 700 CD's you will STILL not have every out-take, live concert, re-mix, mono mix, alternate master, complete fade-outs, remaster, alternate edit, speed corrected, mix reconstruction etc. It is a minefield.

Tony.
I have around 1400 , so I'm thinking the time has come to thin out my collection, giving the thought serious consideration.

You are squandering way too much money.

Yes, I am. On heating and lighting bills, food, clothing and council tax!! However, Elvis is (most of the time) money well spent!

No problem.

Have you considered making a song/album database.

Have a look at Cattrax

Well, I would not be too bothered frankly. It is a very nice list and you might miss an outtake or two but my collection is similar (except for the fact that I never bought the Franklin Mint set) and I am fine missing one or two outtakes. I would go for the Essential Elvis series, especially volume 2 Stereo 1957 since that one is great and the content has not been rereleased.

Barry I'm curious why you purchased both TCM and the Franklin Mint sets? Are there different tracks between the two?
