The person who wrote this article Swears that the guitar player in this article is James Burton; anyone have a spare pair of glasses they aren't using.

You need to correct one of your comments. The stage photo was taken at Elvis' Hayride debut, on Saturday, October 16, 1954. The men pictured are Scotty Moore (electric guitar), Elvis (acoustic guitar), Bill Black (acoustic bass) and Frank Page (announcer). Moore was with Elvis for virtually every studio and stage moment in the '50s. James Burton apparently joined the "Louisiana Hayride" house band at 14 (late 1953 - early 1954), and supported such performers as Johnny Horton, Jimmy and Johnny, Billy Walker, George Jones and others. But he did not play on stage with Elvis until July 31, 1969, in Las Vegas.
