Sorry jinjoe,
Vernon and Gladys left Memphis on the evening of February 12 for the 2-day train-ride to Los Angeles which means they arrived sometimes in the evening of February 14.

Gladys and Vernon must have been between shock and awe that their boy brought them to such riches that they would never dream. Just by the way they are dressed you can see the pride in their son on both faces.
Elvis made the dream of all dreams come true and those dreams where mostly for his parents they must have really been so proud of him.
