Musically speaking, I've been piling through the many episodes of Hank Williams' 1951 morning radio programme, "Mother's Flour presents" show. Absolutely riveting stuff - Hank is the $hit!

Barcelona [Special Edition] , what can i say sounds incredible ............
25 years after the original release of the lead single, Queen singer Freddie Mercury’s album recorded in collaboration with Spanish operatic soprano Montserrat Caballé, Barcelona, has been given a special re-release in an entirely newly orchestrated re-working.

It does sound great with the orchestral backing.I can't believe I've now bought this album 5 times in one way or another.
The 1988 original vinyl, the 1992 CD issue,The Solo album 2000,the Solo 10cd 2 dvd boxset and now the new orchestra version. Some of Freddie's greatest ever vocal performances are on this album,he really poured his heart and soul into it.

Unfortunately just now I played Paul Anka's sh*t version of My Way. The guy struggled for the most part with it.

There was a redback on the Toilet Seat by Slim Newton -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjDAiq2-xeU

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn’t see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
I jumped high up into the air,
And when I hit the ground,
That crafty red-back spider
Wasn’t nowhere to be found.

I rushed in to the missus,
Told her just where I’d been bit,
She grabbed the cut throat razor blade,
And I nearly took a fit.
I said, “Just forget what’s on your mind,
And call a doctor please,
‘Cause I’ve got a feeling that your cure
Is worse than the disease.”

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn’t see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
And now I’m here in hospital,
A sad and sorry plight,
And I curse that red-back spider
On the toilet seat last night.

I can’t lay down, I can’t sit up,
Find more similar lyrics on http://mp3lyrics.com/qhuwAnd I don’t know what to do,
And all the nurses think it’s funny,
But that’s not my point of view.
I tell you it’s embarrassing,
And that’s to say the least
That I’m too sick to eat a bite,
While that spider had a feast!

And when I get back home again,
I tell you what I’ll do,
I’ll make that red-back suffer
For the pain I’m going through.
I’ve had so many needles
That I’m looking like a sieve,
And I promise you that spider
Hasn’t very long to live!

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn’t see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
And now I’m here in hospital,
A sad and sorry plight,
And I curse that red-back spider
On the toilet seat last night.

戸川純 - 好き好き大好き
Togawa Jun (Jun Togawa) - Suki Suki Daisuki (the album)

She's a genius. Great artist which deserves more recognizement worldwide (she's been around since the 80's and is well respected in her country).

I reckon that it's not for everyone's tastes, but definitely a great, inspiring artist. I had the luck of finding the LP for a cheap price (it usually costs more, even the CD does). Definitely recommended!

That's for sure. After only 2 albums, she has already established herself as one of the great female vocalists.

BTW I am currently listening to the awesome Guns n Roses album "Appetite For Destruction". I have great memories of getting this on vinyl when it was originally released.

Super Furry Animals - Songbook.

Man, some crazy-cool sh*t!

Bought this cd when it came out 8 years ago and this is the first time I've played it!

Don't you just love it when you discover a brilliant artist or band for the first time?

So far today I have listened to the following albums:

Michael Nesmith & The First National Band: MAGNETIC SOUTH

Elvis: SPINOUT

The Bee Gees: BEE GEES 1ST

The Tremeloes: BBC SESSIONS

And right now, blasting away in the background are The Roulettes and their album STEAKS & CHIPS.
