This one's interesting. It's I don't wanna face it but this is clearly an alternate version which to these ears is far superior . Recorded in 1980 during the Double Fantasy sessions, it eventually appeared on the Milk and Honey long player.

I've purchased a few in the lat 2-3 weeks.

The Killers~Battle born.Pretty good but a few filler tracks
Muse~The 2nd Law.I've tried but just can't get into it.it's fine to be influenced by other artists but this takes the biscuit in copy catting from Queen to Prince via Led Zep,U2,Stevie Wonder and god knows who else.

Waylon Jennings~Goin' Down Rockin'.He certainly did, great stuff from Waylon but more importantly the band make it sound in the most part that they were there with him in the studio which of course they were not.

Old Crow Medicine Show~Carry Me Back.Great stuff. Some line up changes haven't changed the olde time sound, the catchy tunes or the great lyrics.

Dwight Yoakam~3 Pears.I'm listening to it right now for the umpteenth time. The best Country album I've heard for a while,in fact never mind Country it's the best album I've heard this year.Sheer perfection from start to finish.

I love Head (the album, that is). Great film too.

Can't say I've ever knowingly bought an album by someone from a TV talent show until Misty Eye by Aiden Grimshaw who was on X factor about 3 or 4 years ago and released the album this year. It's a fine effort - seems that the best thing he did was come ninth or whatever it was!

Finally, "A Boy From Tupelo"!! It's all imported, and IPod'ed, and I'm enjoying it! LOSSLESS! You can tell the effort that they put into it; it has such a vibrant, clean, clear sound . . . especially the live tracks, which must have been a bear to do. Gives a feel for the original ambiance. I'm very, very pleased!

I spent a morning, when I had the chance, with the BIG BOY: the book, and have a long way to go . . .

For a while, this will keep me musically occupied, and then on to others . . .
