Thank you for the very kind words. The topic began when I found that wonderful 1958 publicity photo of your mom, and I realized there was a very good story there. Thanks to some digging, I found a lot about her own professional work, and learned she was quite a talent. That she was a class act as well is icing on the cake. I hope everyone is your family is doing well.

Completely agree with you.

Elvis did not need to leave his women- eventually any woman would have given up.
That was even the case with Linda (Interview with Larry King)!

Priscilla was simply the one with the most patience and she knew that there was only one way to get what she wanted.
and that was waiting and being what he wanted her to be.

I am not saying that Elvis didnt love her, but she was lucky that she was around when it was time for him to think about marriage and kids.

She was very nice when we were in touch for one of the books I helped on and confirmed that she really did love Elvis. Classy lady.

This is incorrect. Anita left Elvis almost on the spot when she overheard him discussing his concern about choosing between Anita and his German paramour. She made the choice for him. She left, and did not return. Anita had pride, and she used it.

I understand that, but my point was Elvis didn't care. She left, but he let her go.

At that time he was dating alot of woman.

He leaves for Germany and Anita is supposed to be his "love".

But he dated some German women.

He meets Priscilla. Anita finds out about it.

Anita didn't stop her life because I think she knew Elvis was not that into her.

Then when Elvis gets back to Hollywood he starts dating starlets like Nancy Sharp, etc.

But the pics of Anita with dyed black hair(1961?) with Elvis are sometime after the first leaving IIRC.

That's what i meant when I said he let her go. He didn't try to stop her and fight it. She left, and he dated who ever was next in line.

Besides how could he really demand Anita not date, while he was in Hollywood for 6 months out of the year, do what ever he wanted.

Ekenee I see where your coming from. Im wondering if its about how he feels for Anita or Priscilla and not the other girls he was dating.

Anita didn't wait long after leaving Elvis in August 1962. Less than 2 years later she was married.

By the way, karlos, that is NOT Anita in the posted photo from December 1956. It's Las Vegas dancer Dottie Harmony. In addition, Elvis did not even meet Anita Wood until July 1957.
