"Boy from tupelo" official tracklist!!!!

Acording to elvisnews.com this just added the tracklisting which must of had a delayed reaction. but they did have this to say.

Just a couple of days before FTD will ship this massive project, the tracklist for 'A Boy From Tupelo' is now revealed:

On the comments there, this post was quite intriguiging.

Maybe Sherif has sold a chunk of his rare audio collection to Sony? Could the June 26 1977 soundboard be a future FTD?

I am a bit amazed that the "owner" of the the Little Mama acetate is Sherif Hanna. I admit that I don't know much about this gentleman, but I find it odd that he's owned this rarity for so long and has finally come forward with it. I also read somewhere that he was the man who owned the cassette that was recently released as a rehearsal FTD. It may give some creedence to the often circulated rumour that he in possession of the soundboard to the final show in Indy. I heard that he got that one many moons ago from Bruce Jackson. Who knows ? Maybe he's got material enough to keep FTD afloat for a few more years.

It is quite possible that we could be in line for that show or even more. This upcoming presentation could announced that, but would to see this event to see what ernst has in store for us all in the coming months.I'm hoping for some more classic movie ST, and more soundboards, and ohh and I need to replace my wallet in the process lol.

We still haven't heard about the delayed From Memphis To Hollywood FTD CD/book which,

I am by no means an audio engineer, but I would imagine that plastic (45 RPM) or shellac (78 RPM) present different audio characteristics and artifacts (i.e., noise) that must be filtered out of the recording. My recollection of the notes for Elvis At Sun is that some of the sides were difficult to find in mint condition on 78 RPM records. Therefore, Kevan Budd had to use sections from various sources to create the excellent sounding recordings that are on Elvis At Sun.

I eagerly await the newly remastered recordings to be released on A Boy From Tupelo). If they improve upon Elvis at Sun, we will be closer than ever to being in the studio with Elvis, Scotty, and Bill.

There's a small mention of the set in the latest edition of Record Collector magazine. Release date given as 16 August.

Still seems a shame that it's not on the main label and thereby available from the mainstream retailers.

Nice post and I'm so glad your happy about finally getting this set, as I, and many others are also.

With that said, and I can say with complete confidence, the upcoming SUN set will have the finest sounding Sun Masters ever released anywhere at anytime, unless of course, you have an original Sun 45 or 78 in unbelievably mint condition.

The track-list looks quite good and so has been the 25/1/73 rehearsal recently too.anytime after 1st August is fine for me to get charged/recieve ABFT and indeed their has been pretty good times for us fans in Elvis world lately with the New York 10/6/72 double/triple disc set coming in September.I am still enjoying the bootleg book and Graceland book AND Elvis files Vol 5 at present.As long as MORE of this kind of QUALITY stuff comes our way i can find no reason to ever complain about what is forthcoming and being released by FTD and others!~
