Hi Cisco!
on the boot "The Memphis Flash Hits Las Vegas" are some great tracks from the Opening Night Summer 1974 ... and they sound awesome ... almost as clear as the soundboard but with audience clearly audible like a booth recording ... do you know which source this is from!?

All CD's in the EP Live Collection series are made from low generation tapes; often in the wrong speed or incomplete. Better sources were circulating .At the time of release it was great to have these CD's because you got the concert on real CD's. Meanwhile I 've sold my CD's from this label.

I made safety copies on CDR; these safety copies are needed for a reference purpose when a better sounded version is released, However from this 19-08-74 opening concert a soundboard was released by various labels. In my opinion the audience recording has lost its value.

"Down in the alley" is indeed a fine sounding recording of the opening show, altough in some places it's not perfect and it's variable in quality.
I think the source on the "Memhis flash" cd s the same, but worked on, more punch...
This one is from the "Flash" cd... sounds pretty good...
