And in the middle of the spool was this clip although incomplete as it may be from the show Louisiana Hayride, and it`s got the whole Elvis performance on it."

Also, when requested to contact Ernst Jorgensen, amberola1b posted: "I'll see what I can do."

My thought is Ernst should acquire this for a future project. I'm sure it's far too late for inclusion in "The Boy From Tupelo." I'm sure there are other "attic" artifacts out there, but sadly some may never be found.

It's a great day to be an Elvis fan!

Now let's hope some good investigation will be made concerning the "source" where he got the tape!!!He bought this from a guy that maybe have some more not even knowing it....fingers crossed.
I say again - it was wire, not tape, and the market can hardly be flooded with wire recordings. My guess is that "amberola" is someone who has a fascination with the history of recorded sound and his purchase and audition of this recording is just a miraculous happening as far as we Elvis fans are concerned.

I agree. If you look at other clips that he has in Youtube, you can see that they are not about Elvis...

The latest is that Ernst told me today that he is now in contact with the owner.
Let's hope something will come out.

Truely amazing!

Sony should release it as a single (download and on cd). I'm sure it would chart round the world because fans want it! Much like 'The Twelth Of Never'!
And saves buying another sun collection.

It's a funny old world.

If this track had been one of the Boy From Tupelo tracks then all you guys would have been applauding the free downloading of FTD exclusive material. Which many on here think is a crime worse than granny-battering.

So perhaps it's a good thing it's not on FTD. You can enjoy it without 'collector's guilt'.

I've been wondering if there isn't some political machinations behind its timely occurrence, but I honestly think it's coincidence. If it was a political plot, I think it would surface the moment the first copies plopped on the mat.
All the pre-orderers of the book will have it delivered within the same week. If this 'release' was a carefully plotted coup de grace, it'd come out then, when the saboteur knew it would make the most impact. That's what I'd do. I'd wait till everyone's going "this is the best thing since the creation of the Earth, all the Sun audio in one place" - and upload it then. Bang!

It's not an FECC scoop guys, it appeared on at least one Elvis site before here. Not that it matters, not a bit. We should just celebrate its existence.

Just heard it. I thought Elvis sounded tentative but otherwise IT"S BLOODY GREAT !
Poor Ernst , if this is NOT featured on the definitive on -again off- again Sun collection.
Meaning that EJ has spent years of painstaking research and recovering tapes, acetates etc, only to find still more discoveries popping up on YT!
