MRS (EP) ‘Such A Night in Pearl Harbor’ Press release !

No. I'm comparing RCA mp3 file to amazon mp3 sample.

The most valid comparison would be the RCA file in WAV format against the same for MRS.

Unfortunately, despite all the requests here, we don't have the MRS equivalent for scrutiny.

I personally could careless if it is or not.

Many of you have a habit of doing this and it needs to stop. This statement should read couldn't care less.

Using the word "could" changes the meaning entirely and contradicts anything you've previously said.

Isn't "couldn't care less" a double negative?

Which translates into "could care more".

I don't think he meant to care at all, so he might be correct, other than the space needed between "care" and "less".

Kind of reminds me of a saying which really means the same no matter which way you say it.

Example:
You know squat about that.
Or
You don't know squat about that.

Both seem to convey the same meaning no matter which way written.

After listening to this, all I can say is Amazing !

MRS(s) version sounds more and more like it is not just improved higher quality
enhanced by todays' technology.
But, from a completely different source. Again, whether it is or not, doesn't mattter.
The fact is, there is a positive noticiable difference and that's what counts'.

I don't care whether it's a different source or not. From the samples I've heard I'm convinced that it's a major improvement over what we had already, and that's all that counts. And the whole package just looks mouth-watering.

they have put together the audio samples' for the forth coming MRS cd on youtube.
(An easier way to listen to the sound samples.)

By the way after listening to the MRS samples, if you compare them to earlier posts'
of the 61' concert posted on yourtube,

One can tell right away, there is a HUGE difference and that only poorer sound
was available up until this point, legit or other wise.
IMPROVED QUALITY by MRS of this concert is obvious in the sound samples posted
at the very top of this post.

How MRS did it. Personally I do not care. To me, its sounds like it is a "NEW" source,
but if its not, here again, I personally couldn't careless if it is or not.
( However, I will say, I do believe the MRS version is from a New Source, just the same)
The fact of the matter tho, the quality has been improved by MRS and its obviously
better than what was available before, an in my opinion that's really all that is going to
count at the end of the day, for most anyone.

This is going to be an Essential release for sure !
To pretend or deny otherwise, serves' No purpose.

I have the audio, several times over, but I am interested in seeing some sample pages from the book (i.e. - rare/unseen images, because they do exist).

I don't think that's quite the same thing as "squat" already means "nothing". So to say "You know squat about that" means "You know nothing about that", whereas "You DON'T know squat about that" could be taken to mean "You DO NOT know nothing (clumsy I know) about that", meaning "You do know something about that".

I was sure there was a other topic regarding this release but couldnt find it.
Anyway I had the chance to listen to this cd yesterday.
And while the release it self are of high quality I just cant enjoy the show due
to all the audience/crowd noise

To me SUCH A NIGHT is nothing but a great release. The book is well designed and interesting to read and the audio has really been improved. It really cannot be compared to the version released on the "Elvis Aron Presley" box. The concert itself is a pleasure to listen to with a very nice set list and Elvis performing at the top of his abilities.

To make it short: SUCH A NIGHT is a must-have!

As the show is historic, and the sound isn't the best, every inch counts regarding sound quality upgrade.
I'm very happy with the improvements given the source limitations.

Also, the book is something I'll probably spend quite some time on.

Just bought mine from eBay seller in US....new - sealed...free ship...

This is a combo pack containing a brand new hardcover 100 page small format book as well as a music CD. It is a fantastic package covering Elvis' benefit concert in Pearl Harbor that helped finance the USS Arizona Memorial. It is a very interesting read with lots of great, rare photos, with the music CD added for additional enjoyment and historical reference. The concert is found here in much better sound quality than anywhere else before !
