Which Elvis CD's will you NEVER PLAY AGAIN ?

My Harum Scarum Double Feature CD is still sealed..

Then you have never heard the superior remixes of this material???

I have three different copies of some titles, so there a quite a few that I probably wont play due to the fact that the same music is available in much better quality on other releases.

If we are talking albums that aren't worth playing though, does anyone else remember "The Definitive" series. They actually edited the tracks so that they could fit more on to the CD's. Worthless!

Quite handy for Elvis discos though if one wants to squeeze in a couple of extra tracks, I've found.

The Closing Night FTD--can't even remember if that is the correct title. I've played it twice--almost finished it the second time.

As these were relatively early CD releases, they were a major disappointment at the time, when trying to find 'new' songs on the CD format.

I prefer to listen to Elvis sings for children, and grown ups too... vol 1+2.
The Harum Scarum Sessions volume 3 and 6 are also among my favorites...

I'd describe it as foul mood with some very mean-spirited asides about his entourage and flunkies.

I'm not in a hurry to throw on either of these...

In addition to the Ferrente remasters, I also don't think I'll be listening to ELV1S 30 Number One Hits or 2nd To None again.

I have no desire to listen and play again NEW HAVEN '76 and TUSCON '76 from the FTD series. I can't imagine listening to many songs off 1975-76 and 1977 soundboards anymore.

The Essential Elvis series still does get a spin in my household, along with COLLECTORS GOLD. The Bilko, Baxter and Madison boots likewise. The Diamond Anniversary still has their moments (particularly MEMPHIS June 10 1975) but can't stand their reverb these days.

THE BMG Double Features series; a couple are still relevant such as the Roustabout/Viva Las Vegas and Live a Little, Love a Little/ Stay Away Joe/Trouble with Girls/Change of Habit.

I would guess that I am unlikely to play Harum Scarum, Girl Happy, Kissin Cousins, Paradise Hawaiian Style or Speedway again - although no doubt the odd track or two from those albums get put on compilations I might make (although I can't think of a single song from Kissin Cousins).

My copy of Elvis In Concert disappeared in a house move and I've never got around to rebuying it.

It's probably easier to list the soundboards that I am likely to play again rather than the ones I won't. And there are certainly quote a few of the 2nd discs of Classic Album FTDs that wil never be played again in their entirety.

The Richmond 18/3/74 FTD show.......i refuse to play it compared to the crap 'hype' and superior original Guarranteed to Blow your mind LUXOR release!~

IMO that Volume Four disc has the best-sounding Burning Love out of all the CDs I have the track on.

For me the answer in 0. I will play them all again. It's Elvis, we have what he provided. Depending on my mood or situation I can always find pieces of his music which fit the occassion. I will continue to play them all!
