Where Eagles Dare- I have this dvd, it's a great slambang action film but the Germans are way too easy targets for Eastwood and Burton.
For the Elvis connection, the director of this movie is Brian G. Hutton, the same Brian Hutton who played the sidekick of Vic Morrow in King Creole.

Brian G. Hutton turned into a fairly good director, although he stepped away from the movies after directing nine films. He directed two Clint Eastwood vehicles, Where Eagles Dare and Kelly's Heroes. And two Elizabeth Taylor films, X, Y and Z and the Hitchcockian, Night Watch. His penultimate film, The First Deadly Sin, is one of my all-time favourite movies. Starring Frank Sinatra as detective nearing retirement, and Faye Dunaway, as his ailing wife, this dark and poignant movie is a lesser-known gem amongst thrillers of this kind. Especially when Sinatra's Francis Delaney turns the tables on a serial killer and begins stalking him in the shadows. Hutton certainly directed some of the best acting talent in Hollywood -- Eastwood, Sinatra, Taylor, Burton, Caine, Savalas, Sutherland and Tom Selleck, when he was trying to make the transaction to leading man. He came a long way from King Creole.
