I took just under 2,000 photos
They are slowly finding their way onto Facebook.
Quite by chance I managed to meet and be photographed with George Klein, Lowell Hays and Jimmy Gambill. Not all at once, of course. Mr Hays very kindly brought me my new TCB necklace to the hotel. How kind is that?
Today I managed to look through the Graceland official guidebook, and note that some of the stuff rotates.
I do not remember, for example, seeing the shot-out TV, nor the fringed rainbow jacket, nor that black pvc jacket he wears during the end credits of TTWII, nor his 'mobile phone', or Charro outfit, all in the book. Mind you there is such a lot to take in all at once, so I will have to sift through the photos.
I liked the exhibitions across the road, some splendid, famous costumes over there in various places. The Aloha exhibit was small but great, brought actual tears.
I enjoyed a long day down in Tupelo with an excellent guide, eating in Johnnie's.
Great tour of Memphis also, where I saw loads of sights related to Elvis, and his homes.
Vernon's place on Dolan.
Sun was a thrill.
Went to see the Circle G, being involved in the campaign and all that.
I wasn't too enthralled with Beale St, but then I was a female alone: I left there around dusk.
Peabody ducks were fun, but they have the crappiest souvenir I have ever seen on sale in one of their shops. It has to be seen to be believed, and is a strong contender for worst Elvis-related item ever, alongside Potato Head. And that's saying something.
Now I want to go back and do it all again.
