For dinner tonight, I had a little something that E himself fancied. :D

I've actually been eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches since long before I was an Elvis fan; don't care for it fried though...

Next time I'd go for a less stereotypical meal, such as:

mashed potatoes
brown gravy
sliced tomatoes
very crisp-to-burnt bacon
sauerkraut and crowder peas
meatloaf
banana icebox pie
cheeseburgers
chicken-fried steaks
hamburger steaks
banana pudding
homemade biscuits fried in butter
sausage patties
scrambled eggs

And his favorite soda was Pepsi.

I gained 50lbs just looking at that list.

All kidding aside -

When you get any of the above items at a "non-chain/mom n' pop" type restaurant here in Memphis, you can fully understand why these are some of EP's absolute favorites.
When you experience - REAL - Memphis cooking for the first time, there's no turning back.
