Yes it's a good album but at only 35 mins and a couple of filler tracks it's no Night At The Opera but in Dragon Attack,Crazy Little Thing called Love and Play The Game it's better than some of the later albums.Too many singles though which would carry on through all the rest of the albums.
This is the first one with synths which sound a little dated but are used fairly sparingly thankfully but some of the creative magic was lost when they started using them I think.

Yeah they did actually! I only played the more uptempo stuff and cooler tracks. I skipped the dramatic love ballads. 3 young fellas in a car listening to "Crying" wouldn't have been a good look!
It was more in the vain of these tracks:
Oh, Pretty Woman
Ooby Dooby
You Got It
Dream Baby
Blue Bayou
Claudette
Uptown
etc.

Giving "Stage Rehearsal" my first spin right now.I'm on Patch It Up and it sounds and is performed superb.I'm off tomorrow so I will have a couple of beers and listen to a couple more.Won't listen to Amarillo 77 yet though as I want to enjoy myslef! Bit of Dwight next I think.
