Janis Joplin. Love Janis.
I saw Elvis live in concert the year before he died. Even then, he was bigger than life, and had amazing charisma. Haven't seen anything like it since, ....until Adam.........Nocturnal 2010

Re: Last album you listened to.
Haven't had too much free time to really sit down and listen to a decent amount of music the last few weeks but this weekend I had the privilage to enjoy The Beatles [1968] - original mono mix.
I have been listening to FTD's Standing Room Only on rotation, mainly the masters, and will report back in the SRO thread once I've finalised my conclusions on the sound quality.

Re: Last album you listened to.
This morning I cruised into work with "Back in Memphis" care of the Legacy Edition of "From Elvis in Memphis".
Not the greatest of albums - doesn't flow near as good as the title album. "Without Love" is a great closing though.

Re: Last album you listened to.
Today so far I have enjoyed the following titles:
BB King - One Kind Favor [2008]
A late career highlight, this album is highly recommended to all blues fans. The arrangements are fantastic and BB is on fine form. "Backwater Blues" is a splendid extended workout and you can hear BB is deep in the music when taking his solos.
Next:
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds [1966]
This is the Audio Fidelity edition of the complete original mono master mix as mastered by Steve Hoffman. A fantastic title and well worth picking up as it is the only place to currently find the mono master without any kind of remixing.
