If I´m not mistaken it is Hank Garland.

One of my favourite guitar solos in an Elvis song, and a song I wish Elvis had done in concert.
Hank Garland was indeed one of the greats.

Totally agree and I always think he could have included in the 68 Comeback Special.

Mr Garland suffered a car accident not long after these sessions in September 1961 that finished his pickin' career.

I'm afraid that precluded involvement in the '68 Special.
