Elvis in other people's bio-films

Does anyone have a complete (well, or as good as) list of bio-films that "Elvis" has been in?

Meaning in the same way as he was in "Great Balls Of Fire" (about Jerry Lee Lewis)

Well this is not a bio, but Michael St. Gerard as Elvis is also in the 1989 feature film
"Heart of Dixie". The scene is similar to the Tupelo Homecoming performance.

The following doesn't help to answer your question, but it is a great list, so I am mentioning it anyway.

Elvis Presley (actor) has been credited alongside the following actors:

------------------

While I was browsing IMDb I came across some trivia, that was previously unknown to me.

1960 Golden Apple Awards

Most Cooperative Actor
Jack Lemmon

Most Cooperative Actress
Nanette Fabray
Janet Leigh

Least Cooperative Actor
Elvis Presley

Least Cooperative Actress
Debbie Reynolds

----

1966 Golden Apple Awards

Most Cooperative Actor
Bill Cosby

Most Cooperative Actress
Phyllis Diller

Least Cooperative Actor
Elvis Presley

Least Cooperative Actress
Natalie Wood

I don't suppose Elvis got those awards in the mail did he?

Change of Habit (1969) (assistant director) (uncredited) ???

Thank you for that - many new information that I had no idea about.

But in what other singer (or artists) bio-films is Elvis featured in? Is Elvis featured, for instance, in "Ray"?

I know this is old, but here are a few:

- Great Balls Of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis)
- The Mystery Of Natalie Wood (you see the back of an actor's head and he's surrounded by girls...but it's supposed to be Elvis)

I wonder if he's in the Johnny Cash one coming out, "Walk the Line"?

No !

They put a heading up showing which year the story has reached, but for '1956' no mention of Elvis !

Here is a black guy, in the US entertainment business in 1956, and the impact [& implications] of Elvis bursting on the scene is airbrushed out completely !

Interesting thought!

I guess it depends on how narrowed that bio is, if it's Cash only, so to speak...

I've never heard of this guy Tyler Hilton before.

At first sight, I wouldn't say he looks much like Elvis at all, but a ton of makeup and a good hair stylist may fix that!

Joaquin Phoenix plays the Man In Black himself in the upcoming Walk The Line movie.

That could be interesting!

that tyler hilton kid could play early early elvis--like '53-'55...but i think he'd have to gain about 10 pounds to fill out his face a bit more to play '56 etc...

elvis had that adorable little poochie tummy in the army induction pics.

but yeah, this tyler guy looks at least closer than that jonathan rhys...whatever the talentless bastard's name was who sucked the last elvis biopic down the drain.

i didn't particularly like st. gerard in great balls of fire, funnily enough i thought he did a better elvis impersonation in hairspray when he wasn't even playing elvis!!! i think it was the accent that was stilted. when he didn't have to try an accent in hairspray, his acting was better, yet the character was undoubtably based on elvis, so you got an actor playing elvis without them trying to mimic him.

"Thank you very much. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the big, freaky International Hotel. Those little weirdo dolls on the walls. And those little funky angels on the ceiling. Uh, this is my first live appearance in 9 years. H-uhh! Thank you. I've appeared dead a few times, but this is my first live appearance. Before the evening is up, I will have made a complete and total fool of myself, and I hope you get a kick out of watching it." --EP
