Is FECC loosing its power to be the first when it comes to rarely seen photos? It's a shame too many mammoths left here over the years, good for us we have a few oldies but goodies left. Original picture dated from Columbus, May 26, on Pinterest. This is MY opinion: Fox Theater Detroit, the day before. The second one is as it appears on the net the 1st one is my doing.

Thanks for the share. The photo appears to have been taken in-between one of the three shows given that day in Detroit. It may have been taken by photographer Phillip Harrington, on assignment for Look magazine.

Here's another:

Pinterest calls it "Colombo"? There is no city with that name. But Pinterest has tons of mis-dated and mis-attributed photos.

The other photo you posted is not from Detroit on 5-25-1956, but earlier in the year.

Elvis is wearing the same jacket, but a different shirt, and his sideburns are much shorter.

The image is also cropped:

Not quite sure what happened to the OP and his images, but here is the one which launched his topic:

It is "new" to my eyes, hopefully it is "new" for you as well.

I have no idea why the guy chose to delete his comments and images. Did you do something, Rob?

It was you drj who made me decide to delete my post and comments as far as i could remove it. why? You're patronizing me in your second comment. In one way or the other you seem to be involved when it comes to bad judgement on people. You should be more grateful to them who also build this forum.

Not sure what you're on about, but I was clearly referring to Pinterest, and how wildly inaccurate the photo credits are on that site.

My history with you is that I reply to your posts in exactly the same manner every time, never patronizing and always offering information you seem to appreciate.

Next time, instead of trashing a topic many members might enjoy, why not consider that history first?

And sadly, he's one of the fans that understand the man the music, the mistakes, all of it the best, but people are deaf.
