He is surprisingly looks decent for what the concert is, you would think he would look like how he did in Hollywood a year later in Feb.

Of course it's his index finger, not his middle finger. It's sad that Alamy lower themselves by spreading cheap and false information.

You know, that version of "Dixie" and uh, the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," it's so beautiful!
The band he's put together is so over-the-top, and only Elvis would have that kinda spending power, and just audacious craziness. Choirs, and orchestras, and a great rhythm section, maybe another gospel group on the side. None of it makes sense until you suddenly hear something like that, and they're all playing a role in that, and it's very moving music. That's the pure joy of music in the man. You know, that's when I see everything stop.

That's what we in the South call the "one-finger salute."

"If the songs don't go over, we can do a medley of costumes!" - Elvis Presley (August 10, 1970 backstage in his dressing room before the first show of the August, 10, 1970/September 8, 1970 season in Vegas).

Are there any more pics from this gig? I have seen the ones getting on the plane after. The non-finger one in this thread is new to me.

Photo is real. Elvis is not giving the finger. The King was much cooler than that. He is simply caught mid motion.

Indeed, he was much cooler.

He'd just come right out and say, "F#ck you" to audience members instead of just giving a mere finger.

Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen.

Wow, I was very surprised to hear it was from THAT concert, he seems to have somewhat of a youthful look in his face, well when you I take into account other photos from summer 76 and the quality of that particular concert, new to me, thanks a lot!
