This is a fairly well-known 1968 image, taken during a June 27th camera and microphone rehearsal just prior to the 6pm "small combo" taping for Elvis' stunning 1968 TV special, "Singer Presents Elvis."
It was probably captured by NBC's Frank Carroll, and if any image speaks to the Billy Strange-Mac Davis song "Memories," this is it. What a talent Carroll was with the camera. Enjoy.
